District Recreation Granville has launched a plan for the development of community recreation centers $ 13.2 million and an aquatic centre to be paid for with a tax levy hopes to put before voters in fall.
Plan GRD s call for a square meter 64,640 Community Center and square meter outdoor 152,600 aquatic centre was built at a site yet to be determined.
The firm has almost completed Brandstetter Carroll feasibility study which outlines the plan, which is based on feedback from the community seven months requires assessment and a public meeting last October, according to Executive Director of GRD Andy Wildman. Wildman gathering input from GRD said about 300 people.
Community Recreation Center will consist of 15,000 square feet of indoor aquatic centre, two multi-purpose gymnasiums, fitness center, community room/game room, activities, parenting, and kitchen.
Aquatic Centre will consist of six-lane pool, lap pool, activity pool/competition of 5,000 square meters, sprayground (water playgrounds), water features, two water slides, deck area, and houses a swimming pool with a concession.
